World

Its creation:

Gen.1:17)And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

Gen.2:18)And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

John 1:10)He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

God’s love for the world manifested by giving his only Son for its redemption:

John 3:16)For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jesus the Lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world:

John 1:29)he next day John sees Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.

Jesus announces from whence he came and where he would go:

John 16:28)I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

We brought nothing into the world, and can carry nothing away:

1Tim. 6:7)For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

The world not worthy of the saints and martyr: Heb.11:38) (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

The estate in which the whole world lies:

1John 5:19)And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness.
